I’M 68 AND JUST RESCUED A DOG THAT WAS TIED TO A TREE AND LEFT TO DIE IN THE RAIN.

When I saw him, my heart broke. Soaked to the bone, shivering, and with no food or even a blanket to keep him warm, he still wagged his tail when our eyes met. How can anyone be so cruel to a living being? I untied him and wrapped him in my coat, whispering, “You’re safe now.”

He’s home with me now, snuggled on a soft bed, eating his first warm meal in who knows how long. It’s hard to believe someone could do this, but it’s even harder to imagine life without him now.

Have you ever taken in a poor animal like this? Bless their little hearts.
